The full folio map shows Britain after Ptolemy with Scotland oversized and extended to the west and directional lines marking the eight winds.
The smaller map shows a "modern" rendition of England, Wales and Western mainland Europe.
Two of the earliest maps of the British Isles available to collectors in near mint condition.
Printed on hand laid paper the map sheet measures 20.1x29.9 cm and the plate areas measure 22.9x15.3 cm and 14.3x13.7cm.
Overall the map is a very good/excellent condition with slight age appropriate toning.
